Magellan will collect and utilize all treatment, outcome, and satisfaction data in our network management function. On a quarterly basis, this data is aggregated into summary management reports and provided to our clients. In addition, Magellan will perform ad hoc reporting as requested by either our clients or the individual administrators or employers.
To gather and monitor patient satisfaction and outcome information, Magellan works with The Myers Group, Atlanta, GA. This data collection is accomplished through mailing surveys to members that have utilized Magellan contracted providers. The Myers Group utilizes the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey questions, in addition to Magellan’s quality monitoring questions. The CAHPS questions were developed to provide easy to understand standardized reports across health plans. The Myers Group is a certified CAHPS vendor by NCQA.
